Who Am I? Finding Purpose in Life and Becoming Great

Finding Purpose in Life

Introduction

How many times have you sat alone and wondered, “What is my purpose in life?”

When life seems heavy. When it all feels like a crumbling mountain rolling back at you. When you feel like, “I have no purpose in life.” When finding purpose in life becomes difficult.

What if being lost is the beginning of your actual journey in life? What if it is the beginning of discovering who you really are? What if all those rocks that came rolling down at you were to make you realise you have the power within you to lift them with bare hands and throw them out of your way?

What if all the pain and struggle that you have felt in your veins, when life seemed so unfair and tough, when your emotions felt like you wouldn’t be able to overcome them, like they would topple you and crush you under the mountain?

What if this was all but an initiation to the superhuman that is to be born in you?

What if it was the you trying to be reborn?

What if the old you had to die and it had to be a painful death, for the new you to be born?

Remember, birth is a painful process. What if all the beautiful things in life come after pain? What if the price that you have to pay for all the success, abundance, and love is an exact proportion of pain and struggle?

So, when your body is crying and screaming in agony, when it feels like each part of you will be torn apart, what if it is merely all the wonderful things that await you in the future? What if everything you dreamed of comes, after all the nasty and messy things this life could ever throw at you?

What if the price of becoming strong is to be weak? What if it’s just the veil unveiling, and this veil is nothing but all the lies of powerlessness, fatalism, and hopelessness that this world covered you with?

What if it is you stepping into a new dimension of reality, as your pain doesn’t leave you in this mask of reality that we have been forced to wear. Maybe it’s time to wear off this fake mask.

Maybe it’s time to finally get up, as if we shall never fall again. Maybe it’s time to see in our remotest veins what we are actually made of so that when we fall again, we know that we will get up. We will face all the challenges.

Maybe our mistakes weren’t catastrophes. Maybe our wrong choices and failures weren’t havoc. Maybe all isn’t broken. Maybe we can build from the pieces. Maybe we can create the world with the new pieces that will come up as we start building.

Who knows? Who has seen it all? Then, why fool yourself with the mess your mind created for you in your reality?

So, what to do when you feel you have no purpose in life?

A stuck old soul: My heart seeks love

What am I feeling? I am disheartened, lonely and desperately looking for love. I am an old soul. I am not like the majority of people. I am not into parties, gatherings, and the shining bars in hands.

My heart finds itself alone in this world. It finds itself weird. It finds only one person.

This wait feels like forever. Now, it feels like it may never happen. Let’s go for the casual stuff and fill our hearts with those temporary pleasures.

But tell me, is that anxiety and pain in me there for a reason?

What are those dreams within me?

Those dreams and promises I made to myself, will they die with me, or are they a part of me, and I have no choice but to let them be born?

As I have only that much control over them being born and coming into this world, as much as I had at my birth. Let me be the mother to this beautiful child of mine, as I have no choice but this one.

Why would I fumble when life wants to be born from me? Why will I let the ordinary and temporary thrive when I am the mother to the greatness in me, my life, and the world?

The struggle: On letting myself break free

All the struggle and pain that seem like they are all, are only for now. The anxiety that is all around me is only for now.

Why am I holding on to the pieces of me which are trying so hard to leave? It is only a tiny little etch as these pieces of me break free from me.
Why do I shrug them off like they are monsters, when they are all but tiny creatures?

Why do I treat myself like these remotes that control me?

Why don’t I realise who I really am?

Why don’t I realise what is born in me? Why don’t I let myself be the mother?

What if this Universe emanates from us and within us? What if we are in constant communication with the grandeur of this Creation?

Why do we still play in the small puddles and ponds, when we have the entire ocean to explore?

We have the fish, beautiful corals, the pretty colours of water for us to feel.

Why do we let ourselves be engulfed by the petty nuances of people when we have the entire gigantic sky in front of us? We have been given the entire life and time to live and create.

We have been born as creators, then why do we die as victims?

We have been given so much power within us, then why don’t we find it within us? Why do we let our pain and past be our final finish line?

Why do we become that baby elephant tied to the rope who never actually grows up?

Why don’t we fathom the powers bestowed upon us by this Universe? Why do we cry and fall? Why don’t we wipe out tears and realise that it was all necessary?

Untangling from the mind’s chatter

Why do we even get entangled in the drama of our mind’s creation? Why don’t we let our beings speak through it?

Why don’t we let it be the instrument that it is rather than our entire delusion of life?

What do we harness tell me? What do we realise? Tell me?

What do we conquer?

Who is the real conqueror? The one who first realises the meaning of conquer. Isn’t it otherwise immersing and looking at our hands as we pull them up from the quicksand?

This mind is crazy. Our lives are crazy. But these are phases. These are times of our lives. Don’t let them become life. Don’t let them become all.

You’re the main character: Overcoming fear

Don’t shrink yourself. Learn to expand yourself no matter how long it takes. Then, live in this realm.

As this is the destiny. When you become sane enough to unravel all the layers of your being. When it pulls you away, and it actually feels like your body is being peeled. When all those fears that were mere monsters die.

When they become alive as they die.

And you see them like in a movie, like you’re the main character, and you see them die. And after years and years, you see them dying.

As they had given you so much pain. As they had sucked the life out of you like the dementors. They had ruined you. You searched and searched for redemption all around you. You tried so hard to fight them all.

When somehow life humbles you: Realising your Powers and Believing in yourself

Somehow, after all the falls, you realised that something was being born in you, while all you felt was dying, when all you felt was a hollow parasite in you, eating you alive like the decaying scavengers, while you’re still alive.

You had all the powers in you. You have it all in you. How else would you be here reading this, tell me?

How dare you even underestimate your powers, little heart? How could you even see all the darkness around you?

Choosing the right challenges

Drop all the wars of explaining yourself. Drop all these wars of becoming someone great.

You are great.

Drop all those wars of becoming above or better than someone. We’ll not play these games.

Drop all these wars of correcting and changing the world. That’s a lot of weight on your tiny little shoulders. Drop it all, little soldier.

What is our purpose?

We will become healing. We will become peace. We will become love.

We are whole. No more in the future. This time exists in a continuum for us. This reality, in its multiple and infinite dimensions, that our minds cannot fathom. It can only experience it.

What is life? What is destiny?

It is the experience.

Who are you?

The one who experiences it.

Period.
